Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif plans to consult lawmakers regarding the ongoing negotiations with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to sources, the prime minister has called a parliamentary party meeting to address frequent quorum issues in the National Assembly. He instructed preparations for the meeting at the Parliament House and asked all ministers and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders to ensure their attendance.
Reports indicate that PM Shehbaz was unhappy about the repeated lack of quorum. National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also brought up this concern with the prime minister. Lawmakers will be urged to maintain quorum and keep the assembly proceedings on track.
