National Transmission & Dispatch Company (NTDC) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in 2024. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our national power transmission and distribution systems. You will work on a variety of projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our electrical infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and Planning: Develop detailed designs and plans for the expansion, upgrade, and maintenance of power transmission and distribution systems.
- Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers to ensure proper functioning and identify potential issues.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems in transmission and distribution systems, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Project Management: Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations, and implement safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance teams, technicians, and other personnel involved in the operation of electrical systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the power transmission and distribution sector.
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or PSCAD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations as required.
