The Ministry of Defence is currently seeking qualified candidates to join the Establishment of Technology Assessment Lab Project via NJP 2024. This project aims to enhance the technological capabilities and readiness of our nation’s defense forces. Main Responsibilities
- Conduct Technology Assessments: Evaluate emerging technologies relevant to defense applications, including but not limited to artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics, and advanced materials.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on technological trends, potential threats, and opportunities for innovation in defense technology.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the project team, defense agencies, research institutions, and industry partners to gather information, share insights, and foster collaboration in technology assessment efforts.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing assessment findings, recommendations, and strategic insights for decision-makers within the Ministry of Defence.
- Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest developments in technology and defense policy through ongoing training, professional development, and participation in relevant conferences and workshops.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or technology management. Advanced degrees or certifications related to defense technology assessment are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in technology assessment, research, or related fields, with a proven track record of conducting high-quality analysis and delivering actionable insights.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, research methodologies, and the use of relevant tools and software for technology assessment. Experience with defense-specific technologies and systems is highly desirable.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze complex technical information, identify key trends and implications, and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences.
- Teamwork: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, including the capacity to build relationships, facilitate discussions, and drive consensus among stakeholders.
- Security Clearance: Must be eligible and willing to obtain the necessary security clearance required for working on defense-related projects.
