Position Overview
The Ministry of Railways is seeking a qualified candidate to join the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Support Project (CPECSP) team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of strategic projects aimed at enhancing connectivity and fostering economic cooperation between China and Pakistan.
Main Responsibilities
- Project Management: Coordinate and oversee various aspects of the CPECSP projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to project goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders including government agencies, international partners, and local communities.
- Budgeting and Financial Management: Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial resources to ensure efficient utilization of funds.
- Policy Analysis: Conduct thorough policy analysis and provide recommendations to support decision-making processes related to CPECSP initiatives.
- Report Generation: Prepare comprehensive reports, progress updates, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with project implementation and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
- Capacity Building: Provide training and support to project team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in the infrastructure or transportation sector.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Pakistan’s railway system, as well as familiarity with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework.
- Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Mandarin Chinese would be an advantage.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and collaborate with diverse teams.
