Sarhad University of Science & Information Technology (SUITS), Peshawar, is seeking dynamic individuals to join its esteemed faculty and Incubation Centre team. Main Responsibilities
- Teaching and Curriculum Development: Design and deliver high-quality courses in Computer Science and Information Technology at undergraduate and graduate levels. Develop innovative teaching methodologies and course materials to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Research and Publication: Conduct impactful research in relevant areas of Computer Science/Information Technology and publish in reputable journals and conferences. Mentor students in research projects and encourage their participation in academic conferences and competitions.
- Incubation Centre Management: Facilitate the development and growth of startups and entrepreneurial ventures within the Incubation Centre. Provide guidance and mentorship to budding entrepreneurs, facilitate networking opportunities, and collaborate with industry partners to support startup initiatives.
- Student Supervision and Advising: Provide academic and career guidance to students pursuing degrees in Computer Science/Information Technology. Supervise student projects, internships, and thesis work, fostering their professional development and career readiness.
- Community Engagement: Engage with the local community, industry stakeholders, and professional organizations to promote collaboration, knowledge exchange, and industry-academia partnerships. Participate in outreach activities, seminars, and workshops to raise awareness about the university’s initiatives and research contributions.
Job Requirements
- Education: A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized institution. Candidates with exceptional research potential and relevant industry experience will also be considered.
- Teaching Experience: Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, with a strong commitment to student-centered learning and academic rigor. Experience in curriculum development and innovative pedagogical approaches is highly desirable.
- Research Track Record: A proven track record of research publications in reputable journals and conferences, focusing on cutting-edge areas of Computer Science/Information Technology. Experience in securing research funding and leading research projects will be an advantage.
- Industry Experience (for Incubation Centre Positions): Prior experience in startup incubation, entrepreneurship, or technology transfer activities is preferred. Candidates with a successful entrepreneurial background or experience in industry collaboration will be given special consideration.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and external stakeholders. A commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic environment is essential.
