The Oil Tanker Owners Association has initiated a strike, halting the supply of oil and diesel to Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltsan, AJK, and even the country’s airports. They’ve taken this step to press for their demands, which include ensuring that the filling of petroleum products meets the metered system standards. Currently, they allege that tankers are being filled with less petrol and diesel than indicated by the gauge scale.

Despite sending notices to PSO officials and the DC Islamabad, they claim to have received no response. The association emphasizes that the district administration has breached the agreement reached on February 20, causing inconvenience to both tanker owners and consumers. They assert that they have repeatedly communicated their demands to OGRA and the Petroleum Ministry prior to resorting to this strike.
