Main Responsibilities:
- Teaching Excellence: Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of academic programs, ensuring alignment with industry trends and educational standards.
- Research: Conduct and publish high-quality research in your field of expertise, fostering a culture of inquiry and academic scholarship.
- Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students, including academic advising, mentoring, and supervision of research projects.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to promote interdisciplinary learning and research initiatives.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness and stay abreast of advancements in your field.
- Community Engagement: Contribute to the university’s outreach activities, including participation in seminars, workshops, and community service projects.
- Administrative Duties: Fulfill administrative responsibilities related to teaching, research, and service as assigned by the department or university leadership.
Job Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications: A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Teaching Experience: Prior experience in teaching at the university level is preferred, although exceptional candidates with relevant industry experience may also be considered.
- Research Track Record: Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, evidenced by a strong publication record in reputable peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Subject Expertise: In-depth knowledge and expertise in the specific area(s) of specialization, with the ability to teach a range of courses within the discipline.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- Team Player: Strong collaborative skills and a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders towards shared goals.
