Position Overview

SSGC is seeking highly qualified and experienced professionals for the roles of Regional Manager and General Manager. These senior management positions are critical to the strategic operations and overall performance of the company. Successful candidates will play a pivotal role in managing regional operations, driving business growth, and ensuring the efficient delivery of gas services.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

  • Provide visionary leadership to regional teams, ensuring alignment with SSGC’s strategic objectives.
  • Oversee daily operations and manage regional budgets effectively.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the region.

Operational Efficiency

  • Ensure the efficient and safe distribution of natural gas within the assigned region.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operational performance and reliability.
  • Monitor and manage regional infrastructure, ensuring timely maintenance and upgrades.

Customer Service

  • Enhance customer satisfaction through prompt and effective resolution of service issues.
  • Develop and implement customer engagement strategies to improve service delivery.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including government bodies, regulatory authorities, and community groups, to address concerns and promote SSGC’s interests.

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand SSGC’s market presence.
  • Develop and execute regional growth strategies in line with corporate goals.
  • Conduct market analysis and feasibility studies to support business expansion initiatives.

Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring the well-being of employees and the public.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards.

Job Requirements

Education

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certification is highly desirable.

Experience

  • At least 10-15 years of progressive experience in the gas or energy sector, with a significant portion in a senior management role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large teams and complex operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business development, and stakeholder management.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
