Sindh Bureau of Statistics, under the umbrella of the Planning & Development Department, is undertaking a comprehensive Health & Population Survey aimed at gathering vital data to inform policy-making and development initiatives in the region. We are seeking diligent and motivated Field Staff to join our dynamic team for this urgent project.

Main Responsibilities

  • Data Collection: Conduct face-to-face interviews with respondents in assigned areas using structured survey questionnaires.
  • Survey Administration: Ensure accurate and complete data collection by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Community Engagement: Build rapport and trust with respondents to encourage participation and ensure data quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of data integrity and accuracy through diligent adherence to survey guidelines.
  • Field Reporting: Provide regular updates to supervisors on progress, challenges, and successes encountered during fieldwork.
  • Problem Solving: Address any issues or concerns arising during data collection promptly and effectively.
  • Documentation: Record and maintain detailed documentation of all survey activities, including completed questionnaires and field reports.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Minimum intermediate-level education (Bachelor’s degree preferred) in social sciences, statistics, public health, or a related field.
  • Experience: Prior experience in survey data collection, preferably in the health or social sector, will be advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills in Sindhi and Urdu; proficiency in English will be an asset.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to engage effectively with diverse populations and establish rapport with respondents from different backgrounds.
  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in using smartphones or tablets for data collection purposes.
  • Reliability: Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by project needs.
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the geography and communities of Sindh province will be highly beneficial.
  • Ethical Standards: Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in data collection activities.
