Position Overview

PLRA is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Land Records Officer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the digitization, maintenance, and management of land records. Main Responsibilities

  • Digitization and Data Management: Digitize land records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information. Maintain digital databases and updated records regularly.
  • Verification and Authentication: Verify land ownership documents and ensure the authenticity of records. Conduct audits to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Public Service Delivery: Assist landowners and stakeholders in accessing land records. Guide procedures for land transactions and resolve queries effectively.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Liaise with government departments, local authorities, and stakeholders to facilitate information sharing and coordinate land-related activities.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards. Conduct regular checks and audits to maintain high standards of accuracy.
  • Training and Capacity Building: Conduct training sessions for staff and stakeholders on land records management systems and procedures. Build capacity to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in record-keeping.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Geography, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in database management, data entry, or records management. Experience in land administration or GIS is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify patterns or anomalies.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office suite and database software. Knowledge of GIS tools and applications is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with land laws, regulations, and procedures. Knowledge of land administration systems and practices in Pakistan is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
