Main Responsibilities

As a Doctor on Call (Locum) with PHFMC, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plans. This includes both in-person and telemedicine consultations as required.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing immediate and appropriate medical intervention. Ensure the stabilization and transfer of critical patients when necessary.
  • Clinical Assessments: Conduct thorough clinical assessments and examinations of patients, documenting findings accurately in medical records.
  • Coordination with Medical Teams: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including nurses, specialists, and support staff to ensure cohesive and integrated patient care.
  • Health Education: Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures. Promote health and wellness through effective communication and guidance.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Adhere to PHFMC protocols, guidelines, and standards. Ensure timely completion of medical reports, patient records, and other required documentation.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing medical education and training sessions to stay updated with the latest medical advancements and practices.

Job Requirements

To be considered for the Doctor on Call (Locum) position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualifications

  • MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
  • Valid registration with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Experience in emergency medicine, general practice, or family medicine is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records and telemedicine platforms.

Licensing and Certifications

  • Current medical license to practice in Punjab.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are highly desirable.
