Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) is a governmental organization mandated to promote and develop the IT industry in Pakistan. With a vision to establish Pakistan as a globally recognized hub for IT services and software development, PSEB is actively involved in initiatives that foster innovation, growth, and competitiveness within the sector.

Position Overview

PSEB is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to spearhead the establishment of an IT Park in Karachi. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the project, from conception to completion, ensuring that it aligns with the strategic objectives of PSEB and contributes to the growth of the IT industry in Pakistan.

Main Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, and ensure their effective execution.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with government agencies, private sector partners, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and achieve project milestones.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the project and implement mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on timelines and budgets.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality throughout all phases of the project, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Financial Management: Monitor project expenditures, track budget allocations, and prepare financial reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their success and the overall success of the project.
  • Progress Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and future plans.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience minimum 5 years in project management, preferably in the construction, real estate, or IT industry.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and motivating teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Sound knowledge of financial management principles and practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and driving solutions.
