Job Description

Pakistan Railways is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee various infrastructure projects across the country. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and completing infrastructure projects within budget and on schedule while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely execution of projects.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or issues, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and achievements.
  • Manage project budgets, expenditures, and financial reporting, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Liaise with government agencies, local authorities, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess outcomes, identify lessons learned, and make recommendations for future improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing infrastructure projects, preferably in the railway or transportation sector.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements applicable to infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, make informed decisions, and implement effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as needed.
