About PMYSD Project

The Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development (PMYSD) Project is a flagship initiative aimed at empowering the youth of Pakistan by imparting them with market-driven skills. The project focuses on enhancing the employability of young individuals through vocational and technical training programs.

Position Overview

NAVTTC is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join as a Project Manager for the PMYSD Project. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the project to ensure its successful implementation and achievement of objectives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress against established goals and milestones, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, training institutes, and other partners to facilitate the delivery of training programs and services.
  • Manage project finances, including budgeting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting, in compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies.
  • Lead a team of project staff, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure their effective performance and contribution to project goals.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders, including government officials, donors, and project beneficiaries.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and challenges that may affect project implementation or outcomes, and develop strategies to address them proactively.
  • Foster collaboration and partnerships with relevant stakeholders to enhance the sustainability and impact of project interventions.

Job Requirements

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field such as project management, international development, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the development sector or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff to achieve results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and financial resources effectively, including experience with financial management systems and reporting.
  • Sound knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques, with a track record of delivering results in complex and challenging environments.
  • Familiarity with vocational and technical training programs, youth development issues, and the education sector in Pakistan would be an advantage.
  • Fluency in English and Urdu, both written and spoken, is required. Knowledge of other local languages would be an asset.
