These high-level positions require dynamic, result-oriented professionals with a proven track record in the power sector or relevant industries.

Main Responsibilities

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans that align with MEPCO’s vision and goals.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient power distribution and service reliability.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the company’s budget, financial planning, and reporting to ensure financial health.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with governmental bodies, regulatory authorities, and key stakeholders.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Drive initiatives for technological advancements and process improvements within the company.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

  • Financial Planning: Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company’s growth and sustainability.
  • Budget Management: Oversee budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective internal controls and audit processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors and stakeholders.

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

  • Operational Strategy: Develop operational strategies to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Process Optimization: Implement best practices to improve operational processes and reduce costs.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate the performance of operational units to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Customer Service: Enhance customer service mechanisms to improve consumer satisfaction and address complaints effectively.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the power sector or relevant industries, with at least 10 years in a senior management role.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in finance, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in operations management, with at least 7 years in a senior operational role.

Skills and Competencies

  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate large teams toward achieving strategic goals.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop and implement comprehensive strategies.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial management principles and practices (CFO-specific).
  • Operational Excellence: In-depth knowledge of operational processes, project management, and continuous improvement methodologies (COO-specific).
