Main Responsibilities

  • Academic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to promote academic excellence and innovation within the institution. Oversee curriculum development, academic programs, and teaching standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans in alignment with the institution’s mission and objectives. Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and improvement in educational and healthcare services.
  • Administration: Efficiently manage administrative functions including budgeting, resource allocation, and staff management. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration, professional development, and mutual respect.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality assurance mechanisms to uphold the highest standards of education, research, and healthcare delivery. Monitor and evaluate performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of institutional processes and initiatives.
  • Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, alumni, government agencies, and healthcare organizations. Promote community engagement initiatives to address societal health needs and contribute to the overall well-being of the community.
  • Research and Innovation: Encourage and support research activities among faculty and students. Facilitate the dissemination of research findings and promote a culture of innovation and scholarly inquiry within the institution.
  • Public Relations: Serve as the spokesperson for KGMC and represent the institution at various forums, conferences, and events. Enhance the visibility and reputation of KGMC through effective communication and engagement with the media and the public.

Job Requirements

  • Educational Qualifications: A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution. A postgraduate qualification (MD/MS or equivalent) in a relevant field is highly desirable. Additional qualifications in medical education, healthcare management, or leadership are advantageous.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in academic administration, preferably in a medical college or healthcare institution. Demonstrated leadership skills and a proven track record of successful strategic planning, organizational development, and team management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements governing medical education and healthcare services in Pakistan. Familiarity with accreditation standards, licensing procedures, and compliance frameworks applicable to medical colleges and hospitals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, government officials, and community members.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, resolve conflicts, and foster collaboration among team members. A diplomatic and empathetic approach to leadership, with a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
