Main Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets. Ensure the timely and efficient implementation of housing, urban development, and public health engineering projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support on housing construction, urban planning, and public health engineering principles. Evaluate project designs and propose innovative solutions to address challenges.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and quality standards. Implement corrective measures as necessary to maintain the integrity and safety of projects.
  • Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with community members, local authorities, and other stakeholders. Communicate project objectives, solicit feedback, and address concerns to promote transparency and accountability.
  • Capacity Building: Facilitate training sessions and workshops for project staff and partners to enhance their skills and knowledge in housing, urban development, and public health engineering practices.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive progress reports, including financial summaries, technical assessments, and impact evaluations. Maintain accurate project documentation and records for monitoring and evaluation purposes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Public Health, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in the fields of housing, urban development, or public health engineering.
  • Strong understanding of construction principles, building codes, and regulatory requirements related to housing and urban infrastructure development.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and communities.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering results in challenging environments.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of local context and issues related to housing, urban development, and public health in Punjab would be an asset.
  • Fluency in English and Punjabi; proficiency in other local languages is desirable.
