Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Officer to join our team. The Administrative Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of various administrative tasks within the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the public sector and make a positive impact on the community.

Main Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to various departments within the organization, including document management, scheduling, and correspondence.
  • Facility Management: Oversee facility maintenance, including office supplies procurement, equipment maintenance, and coordination of repair services.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in organizing meetings, conferences, and events, including venue selection, logistics coordination, and attendee management.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between different departments, external stakeholders, and the general public, facilitating effective communication and information flow.
  • Policy Implementation: Assist in the implementation of organizational policies and procedures, ensuring adherence across all levels of the organization.
  • Budget Management: Assist in budget preparation, monitoring expenditures, and reconciling financial records as necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably in a governmental or public sector organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high level of professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of administrative principles and practices, including record-keeping and office management.
  • Familiarity with governmental regulations and procedures is desirable.
  • Willingness to adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
