Main Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Financial Inclusion & Infrastructure Project, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and expenditure control for the project, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, financial institutions, community organizations, and development partners.
  • Policy Advocacy: Advocate for policies and regulations that promote financial inclusion and support infrastructure development, collaborating with relevant authorities and advocating for necessary reforms.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess project performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure accountability.
  • Team Management: Provide leadership and guidance to project staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges to project implementation and develop mitigation strategies to address them effectively.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Promote knowledge sharing and capacity building initiatives within the organization and among project stakeholders to enhance understanding of financial inclusion and infrastructure development issues.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive progress reports and presentations for senior management, donors, and other relevant stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in finance, project management, or related fields, with a focus on financial inclusion, infrastructure development, or economic development projects. Experience in leadership roles preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, financial analysis, and risk management. Proficiency in project management tools and techniques. Knowledge of financial inclusion strategies, infrastructure financing mechanisms, and relevant policies and regulations.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, financial institutions, donors, and community leaders.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members towards achieving project goals. Demonstrated ability to provide strategic direction, make sound decisions, and solve problems effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify key drivers, and develop practical solutions.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a high degree of adaptability and resilience to change.
