Main Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to advance technical and vocational education in alignment with national goals and objectives.
  • Program Development: Oversee the design and development of technical and vocational education programs that meet industry standards and address emerging needs.
  • Curriculum Enhancement: Lead efforts to enhance curricula, ensuring relevance, rigor, and alignment with industry demands and technological advancements.
  • Partnership Building: Cultivate partnerships with industry stakeholders, educational institutions, government agencies, and community organizations to enhance the quality and accessibility of technical and vocational education.
  • Resource Management: Manage financial, human, and infrastructural resources efficiently to support the delivery of high-quality technical and vocational education programs.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality assurance mechanisms to monitor program effectiveness, student outcomes, and institutional performance.
  • Professional Development: Support the professional development of faculty and staff to ensure they possess the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver effective technical and vocational education.
  • Advocacy and Outreach: Advocate for the value of technical and vocational education and promote awareness of its benefits among stakeholders, policymakers, and the general public.

Job Requirements

  • Education: A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Education, Vocational Education, Technical Education, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in educational leadership, with a focus on technical and vocational education.
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of current trends, challenges, and best practices in technical and vocational education, as well as familiarity with relevant industry sectors.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate others towards a common vision, and to effectively navigate complex educational environments.
  • Strategic Planning: Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans, set goals, and monitor progress towards achieving desired outcomes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Collaboration: A collaborative and inclusive approach to decision-making, with the ability to build consensus and work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing priorities, circumstances, and stakeholder needs in a dynamic educational landscape.
