Main Responsibilities

  • Designing RMC Framework: Develop a comprehensive framework for the establishment and operation of the Record Management Cell, outlining policies, procedures, and guidelines for record management across various departments.
  • Implementation of Record Management Systems: Collaborate with IT experts to identify and implement suitable record management systems that align with organizational needs and standards, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
  • Training and Awareness Programs: Conduct training sessions and workshops to raise awareness among staff regarding the importance of effective record management practices, as well as provide guidance on proper record handling and storage techniques.
  • Records Inventory and Classification: Oversee the inventorying and classification of records to facilitate easy retrieval and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, employing systematic methods for indexing and cataloging.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Establish mechanisms for regular audits and quality checks to monitor adherence to record management protocols, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of record management processes, leveraging technological advancements and best practices in the field.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Records Management, Library Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in record management, preferably in a corporate or organizational setting, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of record management principles, standards, and best practices, with the ability to translate theory into practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in record management software and systems, as well as familiarity with document imaging and electronic recordkeeping technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to drive change and foster a culture of accountability and compliance.
  • Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions in complex situations.
  • Certification in Records Management (e.g., CRM, ICRM) is desirable but not mandatory.
