We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to lead our team in the Common Management Unit for AIDS, TB & Malaria under the MONHSRC PSDP Funded Project for the year 2024. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the fight against these critical public health challenges in our community.

Main Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight: Provide overall leadership and management of the project, ensuring its successful implementation within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Team Management: Supervise and support project staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders including government agencies, NGOs, and community partners.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve project goals and objectives effectively.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Oversee monitoring and evaluation activities to track project progress and impact, making necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Financial Management: Manage project budgets, expenditures, and financial reporting in accordance with donor requirements.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular progress reports to donors and other stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Capacity Building: Identify training needs and provide capacity-building support to project staff and partners as necessary.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and integrity of project activities, adhering to best practices and standards in the field of public health.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to project success and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, International Development, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing health-related projects, preferably in the areas of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with demonstrated experience leading teams and achieving results in challenging environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, and other partners involved in public health programming.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans, monitor progress, and evaluate impact.
  • Solid understanding of financial management principles and experience managing project budgets.
    Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
