Main Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Support Project, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders involved in the CPEC project, including government officials, contractors, local communities, and other relevant parties.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the successful completion of the CPEC project within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to meet project objectives and ensure efficient utilization of funds, manpower, and equipment.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the CPEC project and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all activities carried out under the CPEC project adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor project finances, prepare budget forecasts, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports, financial statements, and other documentation to update stakeholders on the status of the CPEC project.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, business administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale infrastructure projects. Experience working on international projects, particularly in the construction or energy sector, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge: Thorough understanding of project management methodologies, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and quality assurance. Familiarity with the political, economic, and cultural landscape of China and Pakistan is an advantage.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively manage multidisciplinary teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in English is required, and proficiency in Chinese and/or Urdu is an asset.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in complex and dynamic environments.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ethical Standards: Commitment to upholding high ethical standards and integrity in all aspects of project management.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel frequently between China and Pakistan as required by the demands of the project.
