The Women Development Department, Punjab is committed to promoting gender equality and empowering women in all spheres of life. In line with our mission, we are embarking on a pioneering project aimed at integrating women with disabilities into mainstream society. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Project Coordinator to lead this initiative and drive positive change for women with disabilities in Punjab.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to integrate women with disabilities into mainstream society, ensuring their access to education, employment, healthcare, and social services.
- Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to advocate for the rights and inclusion of women with disabilities.
- Conduct research and assessments to identify the needs and challenges faced by women with disabilities in Punjab, and develop tailored solutions to address these issues.
- Design and deliver training programs to raise awareness about disability rights and promote inclusive practices in the community.
- Provide guidance and support to women with disabilities to enhance their skills, confidence, and independence.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of the project, and prepare regular reports documenting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Represent the Women Development Department at meetings, conferences, and other events related to disability rights and women’s empowerment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, gender studies, development studies, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in the field of disability rights or women’s empowerment.
- In-depth understanding of the challenges faced by women with disabilities in accessing education, employment, healthcare, and social services.
- Strong communication, networking, and advocacy skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of managing projects effectively and achieving results.
- Sensitivity to cultural and gender issues, with a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Fluency in English and Urdu, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Punjabi would be an advantage.
- Ability to travel within Punjab as required.
