Position Overview
WSSP is seeking a visionary and experienced professional to serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO will provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization, driving innovation, efficiency, and excellence in service delivery.
Main Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the organization’s mission and objectives.
- Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of WSSP, ensuring efficient service delivery and resource utilization.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain effective relationships with government agencies, community stakeholders, and other relevant organizations.
- Financial Management: Manage the financial resources of WSSP, including budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.
- Human Resource Management: Lead and motivate a diverse team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that water and sanitation services meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Innovation and Sustainability: Identify opportunities for innovation and sustainability in water and sanitation services, driving continuous improvement.
- Public Relations: Represent WSSP in public forums, media engagements, and community events, advocating for the organization’s mission and objectives.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior management positions, preferably in the water and sanitation sector or a related field.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to anticipate and respond to emerging challenges and opportunities.
- Financial Acumen: Demonstrated experience in financial management, including budgeting, financial analysis, and risk management.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and development partners.
- Commitment to Excellence: Passion for promoting sustainable development and improving the quality of life for underserved communities.
