Main Responsibilities
- Teaching and Research: Deliver high-quality instruction to undergraduate and postgraduate students in your respective field. Engage in innovative research activities that contribute to the academic and intellectual growth of the university.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of curricula that meet the needs of diverse learners and align with international standards of education.
- Student Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to students, fostering their intellectual and personal development. Support students in achieving their academic and career goals.
- Community Engagement: Actively participate in community outreach programs and initiatives aimed at promoting women’s education and empowerment in the region.
- Administrative Duties: Fulfill administrative responsibilities related to your position, including but not limited to academic advising, committee participation, and other duties as assigned by the university administration.
Job Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: Applicants must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in their respective field from a recognized institution. Candidates nearing completion of their doctoral degree may also be considered.
- Teaching Experience: A minimum of two years of teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level is required. Experience in curriculum development and instructional design will be an advantage.
- Research Track Record: Demonstrated research productivity, including publications in reputable academic journals and presentations at conferences, is highly desirable.
- Commitment to Women’s Education: Strong commitment to women’s education and empowerment, as evidenced by previous professional experience, research interests, and community involvement.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effectively engaging with students, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment, fostering a culture of respect, inclusivity, and academic excellence.
- Proficiency in Relevant Technologies: Familiarity with educational technologies and tools for instructional delivery, research, and administrative tasks is preferred.
