The Punjab government has announced the imposition of Section 144 across the province for a period of three days, from November 23 to November 25. This decision, formalized through an official notification, prohibits all forms of protests, meetings, processions, rallies, and sit-ins during the specified timeframe.

Authorities have clarified that the measure is a precautionary step taken to maintain law and order amidst concerns over potential unrest. The ban is aimed at preventing any disturbances that could arise from large public gatherings and ensuring the safety and security of citizens, public spaces, and property.

The government’s notification underscores the importance of preemptive action to avoid disruptions and uphold public order during this critical period. Officials have emphasized that these restrictions are in the public’s best interest and are intended to protect against possible threats or untoward incidents.

Citizens have been urged to comply with the restrictions and refrain from organizing or participating in any prohibited activities during these three days. Security forces and law enforcement agencies have been directed to strictly enforce the ban, with provisions to take legal action against violators as per the law.

The Punjab government reassures the public that these measures are temporary and are being implemented solely to safeguard the well-being of residents and maintain stability across the province.
