The Green Belt Along River Ravi
A central feature of this environmental endeavor is the development of a green belt along the River Ravi. This area is slated for the plantation of approximately 634,000 trees, contributing substantially to the city’s green cover. To date, efforts have resulted in the successful plantation of 105,000 trees across 144 acres. This green belt is expected to serve as a natural barrier against pollution, aid in temperature regulation, and offer recreational spaces for the community.

Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has emphasized that addressing air quality and pollution is a top priority for the current administration.
