Main Responsibilities:
Animal Health Assessment: Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status and diagnose any medical conditions.
Treatment Planning and Execution: Develop treatment plans based on diagnoses and administer appropriate medications or therapies to promote the well-being of animals.
Surgical Procedures: Perform surgical procedures as necessary, including spaying, neutering, and other routine surgeries, ensuring the safety and comfort of the animals.
Vaccination Programs: Implement vaccination programs to prevent the spread of infectious diseases among animals, following established protocols and guidelines.
Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations involving injured or sick animals, providing immediate medical care and stabilization as needed.
Health Education: Educate pet owners and the community on responsible pet care practices, including nutrition, hygiene, and preventive healthcare measures.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all veterinary treatments, procedures, and patient information in compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the veterinary team, as well as external stakeholders such as government agencies and animal welfare organizations, to coordinate efforts and achieve common goals.
Job Requirements:
Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognized institution. Additional certifications or postgraduate qualifications in specialized areas of veterinary medicine are desirable.
Licensure: Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in Pakistan.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a veterinarian in a clinical setting, with experience in small and large animal care preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficient in performing a wide range of veterinary procedures, including surgical interventions, dental care, and diagnostic testing. Familiarity with modern veterinary equipment and technologies is essential.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with pet owners, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Compassion: Compassionate and empathetic towards animals, with a genuine commitment to promoting their welfare and well-being.
Teamwork: Strong team player who can work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common objectives.
Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to handle various tasks and responsibilities.
Ethical Standards: Demonstrated adherence to ethical standards and professional conduct in veterinary practice.
