The Primary & Secondary Health Care Department Punjab is currently seeking dynamic and qualified individuals to fill the position of Charge Nurses on adhoc basis in multiple hospitals across the province. Main Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide high-quality nursing care to patients by established nursing standards and protocols.
- Clinical Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership skills in coordinating and supervising the nursing team to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery.
- Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and evaluate patient responses to treatment and care interventions.
- Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and ensure accurate documentation of medication administration.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including nursing assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and initiating appropriate interventions.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of nursing policies and procedures to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution. Postgraduate qualifications in nursing will be preferred.
- Licensure: Valid registration with the Punjab Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Skills: Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Additional certifications in specialized areas such as Critical Care Nursing or Pediatric Nursing will be an advantage.
- Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and basic computer applications.
