Job Description
Pakistan Railways HQ Lahore is seeking to engage retired telecom staff for various positions. The selected candidates will contribute their expertise and experience to enhance the telecommunications infrastructure of Pakistan Railways.
Main Responsibilities
- Telecommunications Maintenance: Ensure the maintenance and repair of telecommunications equipment and systems across Pakistan Railways’ network.
- Network Expansion: Assist in the expansion and modernization of telecommunications networks to meet the growing demands of passengers and freight operations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve telecommunications issues promptly to minimize disruptions to rail services.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to operational staff regarding the use of telecommunications equipment and systems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and telecommunications infrastructure documentation.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all telecommunications operations.
- Training: Conduct training sessions for staff members on the use and maintenance of telecommunications equipment and systems.
Job Requirements
- Retired Telecom Staff: Candidates must be retired from reputable telecommunications organizations with significant experience in the field.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of telecommunications equipment, systems, and technologies, including but not limited to voice, data, and video communication.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot telecommunications issues effectively to maintain uninterrupted rail services.
- Team Player: Capable of working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve common goals.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
- Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and industry practices to ensure the efficiency and reliability of telecommunications networks.
- Documentation Skills: Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation related to telecommunications maintenance activities.
