Pakistan Railways Headquarters in Lahore is seeking to appoint retired Mechanical Loco Staff for various positions. The selected candidates will be responsible for contributing to the efficient and safe operation of locomotives within Pakistan Railways network. This is an excellent opportunity for retired mechanical loco staff to utilize their expertise and experience in a rewarding role.
Main Responsibilities
- Operate locomotives safely and efficiently in accordance with established procedures and safety regulations.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on locomotives to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with locomotives and implement necessary repairs.
- Adhere to schedules and timetables to ensure timely departure and arrival of trains.
- Collaborate with other railway staff, including engineers and maintenance personnel, to coordinate operations and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate records of locomotive operations, maintenance activities, and fuel consumption.
- Comply with all safety protocols and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and cargo.
Job Requirements
- Retired from Pakistan Railways with experience in mechanical locomotive operations.
- Proficient in operating and maintaining locomotives, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to locomotive operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs efficiently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other railway staff.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as per operational requirements.
