Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Internal Auditor to join our team. The Chief Internal Auditor will be responsible for overseeing the internal audit function of the organization, ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will play a critical role in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes across various business units within PNSC.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive internal audit plan based on risk assessment and organizational priorities.
- Conduct regular audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal policies, procedures, and systems.
- Identify emerging risks and trends and provide recommendations for mitigating actions.
- Lead and supervise audit engagements, ensuring timely completion and reporting of audit findings to senior management and the Audit Committee.
- Foster a culture of compliance, ethics, and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree and professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CPA are preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in internal auditing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Thorough understanding of internal audit methodologies, principles, and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and mentor a team of auditors.
- High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to upholding professional standards of conduct.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools, including MS Office and audit management systems.
