Position Overview
OGDCL is seeking a qualified Medical Consultant to join our team at the OGDCL Central Hospital Care Facility (CHCF) located in Karak. The Medical Consultant will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical services to our employees and their families, ensuring their health and well-being.
Main Responsibilities
- Medical Consultation: Provide expert medical consultation to OGDCL employees and their dependents.
- Emergency Response: Be available for emergency medical response and provide immediate medical care as necessary.
- Health Assessments: Conduct routine health assessments, screenings, and medical examinations.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients based on their medical history and current health status.
- Health Promotion: Promote preventive healthcare measures and provide guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and administrative staff, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant medical regulations, guidelines, and OGDCL’s internal policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
- Medical Qualification: MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical institution. Additional specialization or post-graduate qualifications in relevant medical fields are preferred.
- Medical License: Valid registration with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) or relevant regulatory body.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, preferably in a hospital setting. Experience in occupational health or emergency medicine will be an advantage.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules, including participation in on-call duties.
- Ethical Standards: High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
