Position Overview
NTDC is currently seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Lahore. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our transmission infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Operation: Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical transmission equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
- Fault Diagnosis: Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults in the transmission system, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Testing and Commissioning: Assist in the testing and commissioning of new transmission infrastructure to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Project Management: Participate in the planning and execution of transmission projects, coordinating with other departments and external stakeholders as required.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment specifications, and operational procedures.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the power transmission sector.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, and protection relays.
- Proficiency in electrical testing and diagnostic techniques.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work on-call and outside regular hours when necessary.
- Valid professional certification (PE) is a plus.
