The Ministry of Aviation, Islamabad is seeking a qualified and dedicated individual to join our team as an Aviation Safety Inspector. Main Responsibilities
- Conduct Safety Inspections: Perform comprehensive inspections of aviation facilities, equipment, and operations to ensure compliance with national and international safety regulations.
- Investigate Incidents: Investigate aviation incidents and accidents to determine their root causes and recommend preventive measures to enhance safety standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with aviation regulations, standards, and procedures to mitigate risks and maintain a safe operating environment.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments of aviation activities, identify potential hazards, and implement measures to mitigate risks effectively.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, investigations, and safety-related activities. Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for management and regulatory authorities.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, aviation industry partners, and regulatory agencies to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Training and Education: Provide guidance, training, and support to aviation personnel on safety protocols, procedures, and best practices.
Job Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications in aviation safety or regulatory compliance are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in aviation safety, regulatory compliance, or a related field. Prior experience as an aviation inspector or safety officer is highly desirable.
- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of national and international aviation regulations, safety standards, and best practices. Familiarity with aviation safety management systems (SMS) and risk assessment methodologies is required.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex situations, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely. Proficiency in English and Urdu is essential.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, foster positive working relationships, and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in conducting inspections, documenting findings, and preparing reports.
- Computer Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications for data analysis, documentation, and reporting.
- Integrity: High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in upholding aviation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
