Position Overview
Khyber Medical University is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join a donor-funded research project team for the year 2024. The research position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge medical research in a collaborative and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will work closely with renowned researchers and healthcare professionals to advance knowledge and address critical health challenges.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews and gather relevant research materials.
- Design and implement research protocols in accordance with project objectives.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data using statistical and qualitative research methods.
- Prepare research reports, manuscripts, and presentations for dissemination.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure project milestones are met.
- Participate in project meetings, workshops, and conferences as required.
- Adhere to ethical standards and protocols in research activities.
Job Requirements
- Education: A minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related discipline. A Ph.D. or equivalent research experience is preferred.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in conducting research projects, preferably in the field of public health or healthcare. Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies is essential.
- Skills: Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R) and qualitative analysis software (e.g., NVivo) is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Adaptability: Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced research environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Flexibility to adapt to changing project priorities and deadlines.
- Ethical Conduct: Commitment to upholding ethical principles and standards in research activities, including human subjects protection and data confidentiality.
