Position Overview
GC Lahore is inviting applications for Visiting Faculty Positions in Intermediate Studies for the academic year 2024. The successful candidates will join a vibrant community of scholars dedicated to providing high-quality education and fostering intellectual growth among students.
Main Responsibilities
- Teaching: Conducting lectures, seminars, and tutorials in the field of Intermediate Studies.
- Curriculum Development: Contributing to the development and revision of course materials, ensuring alignment with academic standards and objectives.
- Assessment: Designing assessments, grading assignments, and providing constructive feedback to students to support their academic progress.
- Student Engagement: Engaging students through interactive teaching methods, fostering critical thinking, and encouraging active participation in class discussions.
- Academic Support: Providing guidance and support to students outside of class, including advising on academic matters and assisting with research projects.
- Professional Development: Engaging in continuous professional development activities to stay updated with developments in the field and enhance teaching effectiveness.
Job Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: A Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, etc.) from a recognized institution.
- Teaching Experience: Prior teaching experience at the intermediate or undergraduate level is preferred.
- Subject Expertise: Strong knowledge and expertise in the specific subject area(s) relevant to Intermediate Studies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English or Urdu, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to students.
- Pedagogical Skills: Demonstrated ability to employ innovative teaching methods, promote student engagement, and create a conducive learning environment.
