Faisalabad Medical University is seeking a dynamic and qualified individual to join our esteemed faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching medical students, conducting research, and providing clinical care in the field of internal medicine. Main Responsibilities
- Teaching: Deliver lectures, lead small group discussions, and facilitate laboratory sessions for medical students in various aspects of internal medicine.
- Research: Conduct original research in the field of internal medicine, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and participate in collaborative research projects.
- Clinical Care: Provide high-quality clinical care to patients in the hospital setting, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions.
- Mentorship: Serve as a mentor and advisor to medical students, residents, and fellows, guiding them in their academic and professional development.
- Administrative Duties: Participate in departmental meetings, assist in curriculum development, and contribute to the overall administration of the academic and clinical programs.
Job Requirements
- Education: MD or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school. Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine is required.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of postgraduate training in internal medicine, with a strong background in clinical practice and research.
- Teaching Experience: Previous experience teaching medical students, residents, or fellows is highly desirable.
- Research Productivity: Demonstrated track record of scholarly activity, including publications in reputable scientific journals and presentations at national or international conferences.
- Clinical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions, with a commitment to delivering compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic and clinical environment.
