Main Responsibilities

• Judicial Oversight: Preside over court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and sentencing, to ensure adherence to legal procedures and principles of justice.
• Case Management: Manage a caseload of diverse civil and criminal cases, prioritizing hearings and issuing rulings in a timely manner.
• Legal Analysis: Conduct legal research, review case law, statutes, and precedent to inform judicial decisions and interpretations.
• Dispute Resolution: Facilitate negotiation and mediation between parties to reach amicable settlements when possible.
• Court Administration: Supervise court staff, including clerks, bailiffs, and administrative personnel, to ensure the smooth operation of the judicial system.

Job Requirements

• Legal Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution. Preference will be given to candidates with additional qualifications such as LL.M or judicial training.
• Judicial Experience: Minimum of five years of experience practicing law, with at least three years of experience as an advocate in the High Court or District Courts.
• Judicial Knowledge: In-depth understanding of criminal and civil law, legal procedures, evidence, and judicial precedents.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate complex legal issues and make sound judgments.
• Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Urdu, with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents and judgments.
• Integrity: Demonstrated integrity, impartiality, and ethical conduct in the practice of law and judicial decision-making.
• Leadership Abilities: Effective leadership skills to manage court personnel, resolve conflicts, and inspire public confidence in the judicial system.
