Main Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans in alignment with FESCO’s goals and objectives.
- Policy Formulation: Formulate and review policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and community organizations.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation to support FESCO’s operational and strategic initiatives.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that may impact FESCO’s operations, reputation, or financial performance.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators and implement measures to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to departmental heads and staff to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and promote ethical conduct and good governance practices within the organization.
Job Requirements
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA, CA, CFA) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a leadership role, preferably in the energy sector or a related industry. Experience in a public utility company will be an advantage.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning and analytical skills with the ability to anticipate future trends and develop proactive solutions.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of effectively leading and motivating teams to achieve organizational objectives.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop practical solutions.
- Ethical Conduct: High ethical standards with a commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of electricity distribution systems, regulatory frameworks, and industry trends.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
