The National Centre for Excellence in Analytical Chemistry (NCEAC) at the University of Sindh, Jamshoro, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our esteemed faculty team. We invite applications for a faculty position in Analytical Chemistry commencing in 2024.
Main Responsibilities
- Conducting innovative research in Analytical Chemistry with a focus on emerging trends and technologies.
- Designing and delivering lectures, seminars, and laboratory sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Mentoring and supervising students’ research projects at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of the curriculum in Analytical Chemistry.
- Engaging in scholarly activities such as publishing research findings in reputable journals and presenting at conferences.
- Collaborating with other faculty members on interdisciplinary research projects.
- Participating in academic and administrative activities within the department and university.
Job Requirements
- A Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas of Analytical Chemistry, such as chromatography, spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, electrochemistry, or biosensors.
- A strong record of scholarly research and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Prior experience in teaching Analytical Chemistry courses at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students with diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated potential for securing research grants and funding.
- Commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive academic environment.
- Willingness to actively contribute to the academic and professional growth of students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
