Thar Coal Connectivity Project, in collaboration with Pakistan Railways, is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Karachi. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major infrastructure project aimed at enhancing connectivity and fostering economic development in Pakistan. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and execution of various aspects of the project.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate in the conceptualization and planning stages of the Thar Coal Connectivity Project, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather relevant data for project planning and design.
- Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications in compliance with regulatory standards and project requirements.
- Oversee the construction phase of the project, including contractor management, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary to keep the project on schedule and within budget.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and community representatives, to facilitate project implementation and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Prepare progress reports, presentations, and other documentation to keep project stakeholders informed of developments and milestones.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects; experience with railway projects is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques, and project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards applicable to civil engineering projects in Pakistan.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work in challenging environments as required.
