Position Overview
IESCO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the General Director (MIRAD). The General Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of the company’s operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, optimizing performance, and driving organizational growth and development.
Main Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to achieve the company’s objectives and long-term goals.
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, reliability, and quality of electricity supply.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and safety protocols.
- Financial Management: Manage financial resources effectively, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and customers.
- Human Resource Management: Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring mechanisms to track performance and drive improvements.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to the organization’s operations, assets, and reputation.
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to explore opportunities for strategic alliances and business growth.
- Innovation and Technology: Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the energy sector, and drive innovation initiatives within the organization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the power sector, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Strong understanding of electricity distribution operations, regulatory frameworks, and industry trends.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of strategic planning, organizational development, and performance management.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to integrity and ethical conduct.
- Knowledge of financial management principles, including budgeting, financial analysis, and risk assessment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory
bodies, and community groups. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
