Main Responsibilities
- Maintaining Law and Order: Patrol assigned areas to maintain public order, respond to emergencies, and enforce laws and regulations.
- Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into criminal activities, gather evidence, interview witnesses, and make arrests when necessary.
- Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with community members, attend community meetings, and address concerns to build trust and cooperation between the police and the public.
- Traffic Control: Monitor and regulate traffic flow, enforce traffic laws, and respond to accidents to ensure road safety.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency calls, provide assistance, and coordinate with other emergency services to ensure timely and effective response to crises.
- Report Writing: Maintain detailed records of incidents, arrests, and investigations, and prepare accurate reports for submission to supervisors and court proceedings.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills and stay updated on the latest law enforcement techniques and procedures.
Job Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Higher education in criminal justice or related field is preferred.
- Physical Fitness: Must pass physical fitness tests to demonstrate agility, strength, and endurance required for police duties.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, superiors, and the public.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to handle diverse situations and make quick, sound decisions under pressure.
- Ethical Conduct: Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and respect for ethical standards, with a commitment to upholding the law and serving the community with fairness and impartiality.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, follow instructions from supervisors, and support fellow officers in achieving departmental goals.
- Valid Driver’s License: Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Age and Citizenship: Must meet age and citizenship requirements as specified by Balochistan Police.
